A goofy cartoon shooter made by Noah and his dad. Everybody against everybody, first to 10 pops wins! 💥

On Windows there's nothing to install: the whole game is in that one file.

How to start the game

🪟 Windows

  1. Click the green Windows button to download ToonShot.exe. If your browser says the file "isn't commonly downloaded", click the three dots (…) next to the download, then Keep and Keep anyway.
  2. Double-click ToonShot.exe. The first time, Windows shows a blue screen: "Windows protected your PC". Don't worry! Windows says this about every program it doesn't know yet, and our game is homemade. Click More info, then Run anyway. You only have to do this once.
  3. If a Windows Defender Firewall window pops up, click Allow access.

🍎 Mac

  1. Click the green Mac button to download ToonShot.dmg, open it, and drag Toon Shot into your Applications folder.
  2. Open Toon Shot. The first time, your Mac says it can't check the app ("Toon Shot" Not Opened). That's because our game is homemade and not registered with Apple. Click Done (not "Move to Trash").
  3. Open System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll down to where it says Toon Shot was blocked, and click Open Anyway. Type your password, then click Open Anyway once more. You only have to do this once.

🎮 Playing

  1. Type your name, pick a character and click Join the game! Then click in the game to start playing. 🔫
⚠️ Don't click "Host on this computer": that starts your own game and you won't see your friends. Want to practice alone first? Click Practice.

🪟 Windows

  1. Klik op de groene knop Windows om ToonShot.exe te downloaden. Zegt je browser dat het bestand "niet vaak wordt gedownload"? Klik dan op de drie puntjes (…) naast de download, kies Behouden en daarna Toch behouden.
  2. Dubbelklik op ToonShot.exe. De eerste keer krijg je een blauw scherm: "Windows heeft uw pc beschermd". Schrik niet! Windows zegt dit bij elk programma dat het nog niet kent, en ons spel is zelfgemaakt. Klik op Meer informatie en dan op Toch uitvoeren. Dit hoeft maar één keer.
  3. Komt er een venster van de Windows Defender Firewall? Klik dan op Toegang toestaan.

🍎 Mac

  1. Klik op de groene knop Mac om ToonShot.dmg te downloaden, open het, en sleep Toon Shot naar je map Apps (Programma's).
  2. Open Toon Shot. De eerste keer zegt je Mac dat hij de app niet kan controleren ("Toon Shot" niet geopend). Dat komt omdat ons spel zelfgemaakt is en niet bij Apple is aangemeld. Klik op Gereed (niet op "Verplaats naar prullenmand").
  3. Open Systeeminstellingen → Privacy en beveiliging, scroll naar beneden naar de melding dat Toon Shot is geblokkeerd, en klik op Toch openen. Typ je wachtwoord en klik nog een keer op Toch openen. Dit hoeft maar één keer.

🎮 Spelen

  1. Typ je naam, kies een personage en klik op Join the game! Klik daarna in het spel om te beginnen. 🔫
⚠️ Klik niet op "Host on this computer": dan start je je eigen spel en zie je je vrienden niet. Eerst alleen oefenen? Klik op Practice.

👨‍👩‍👧 Twijfel je, of mag je niet zomaar dingen op de computer zetten? Vraag het eerst aan je vader of moeder en laat ze deze pagina zien.

The characters

De personages

Every character can only be played by one person at a time. After you pop, press 1–7 to come back as someone else.

Elk personage kan maar door één speler tegelijk gespeeld worden. Ben je geploft? Druk 1–7 om terug te komen als iemand anders.

Marcel
Shotgun, super strong up close. Rage 🔥: shoots super fast for 5 seconds.
Shotgun, supersterk van dichtbij. Woede 🔥: 5 seconden supersnel schieten.
Noah
SMG, shoots really fast. Long Shot 🎯: zoom in and hit people far away.
SMG, schiet heel snel. Long Shot 🎯: inzoomen en mensen ver weg raken.
Chris
Sniper: hold the right mouse button to aim. Second Shot 💥💥: two shots in a row.
Sniper: houd de rechtermuisknop ingedrukt om te mikken. Second Shot 💥💥: twee schoten na elkaar.
Daan
Rocket launcher 🚀, rockets explode. Big Boom: one gigantic rocket.
Raketwerper 🚀, raketten ontploffen. Big Boom: één gigantische raket.
Roel
AK-47. B-2 Spirit ✈️💣: aim at a spot and a bomber drops 5 bombs on it. Run if you see a red circle under you!
AK-47. B-2 Spirit ✈️💣: richt op een plek en een bommenwerper gooit er 5 bommen op. Ren weg als je een rode cirkel onder je ziet!
Vina
Gong: a golden shock wave hits everyone in front of you; every 5th gong freezes them. Meditate 🧘: get 50 health back.
Gong: een gouden schokgolf raakt iedereen vóór je; elke 5e gong laat ze stilstaan. Meditate 🧘: 50 levenspunten terug.
Stutz
Toy laser gun, lots of weak shots. Blocks 🧱: put down toy blocks to hide behind. Sometimes laughs very loud. 😂
Speelgoed-laserpistool, veel zwakke schoten. Blokken 🧱: zet speelgoedblokken neer om achter te schuilen. Lacht soms heel hard. 😂
